Yang Liao
Yang received his bachelor degree in computer science at Tsinghua University in Beijing in 2002, and completed his PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2012. He joined WEHI in 2011 as a research assistant, then a postdoctoral researcher after 2012. He was in Smyth's lab then Shi's lab working on bioinformatics methodology development and also on many collaborative projects. He is the main developer and maintainer of the Subread and Rsubread packages for sequencing data analysis. Yang joined ONJCRI in 2020 and works as a postdoc researcher in the Bioinformatics and Cancer Genomics lab.
