Conor Kearney
Dr Conor Kearney obtained his PhD at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, completed 2014, under Professor Seamus Martin. His Phd studies focused on the molecular regulation of programmed cell death (PCD) including apoptosis and necroptosis, with particular emphasis on the inflammatory consequences of these divergent cell death modes. Dr Kearney joined the cancer immunology division at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in 2015, where he has secured an NHMRC ‘new investigator’ project grant and an NHMRC early career fellowship (ECF). Dr Kearney’s post doctoral studies have investigated the role of cytotoxic lymphocytes in cancer immunotherapy and mechanisms of tumor immune evasion.
